Apart from a few passages I did not quite understand (like 30 pages straight where Bateman describes one of his favourite bands) this book is really quite stunning. The reader is captivated by the first-person narration which is something in between stream of consciousness and storytelling. You will be completely into Bateman's mind, which is an experience as fascinating as it is upsetting. I must say I liked the ending better in the film (for those who saw it) but still, the book packs on heck of a punch.
